Jan Kaatz grew up in Lakeside, CA (a suburb of San Diego). He is married to his lovely wife, Ellen, who is devoted to teaching 3rd grade. They have two adult children, Chris & Amanda. His 28 years of ministry have been in the Greater Los Angeles area, the last 13 serving as pastor of this church and the Culver City SDA Church. He loves the challenges and opportunities of meeting people’s needs, so as the Apostle Paul says, people “will let me tell them about Christ.”

Loves to travel to the mountains and spend time at the ocean. He also likes to hike, swim, ride bikes, and scuba dive.
Pamela Harman was born in Ohio, but has lived in Southern California since she was 3 years old. She and her good-humored husband Glenn have one beloved son, Mark, and a black Labrador guide dog, Koshi. She is a professor and director of the Human Affect Lab at CalState L.A. She enjoys sharing her faith in God with her students, colleagues and friends.
LaViva is a grateful child of God living a life beyond her wildest dreams. She is married to the love of her life, Greg, and they have a daughter, Jaela. LaViva is the Director of Career Development at Union Station Homeless Services in Pasadena. She is working on her Masters of Social Work at California State University, Northridge. Recently LaViva was reunited with her birth mother and was excited to meet her two new siblings. LaViva remarks, “There is nothing I’ve done worth doing or anything I have worth having for which I can take the credit. When I look back all I see is God’s goodness, love and grace. God yesterday, today, tomorrow and forever.”

Curtis Castro, born and raised in Los Angeles, has a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and enjoys spending his time offering free Christ-centered life-coaching services through his own self-supporting ministry, Live In Grace. When not leading worship services or doing ministries activities, Curtis enjoys doing a variety of hobbies, including hiking, cycling, graphic design, acting, and writing.
Zach Dunn has been a member of the Burbank Seventh-day Adventist Church since 2009. He became the Assistant Treasurer in 2012, and the Head Treasurer in late 2013. He may often be found leading out in a prayer, collecting the offering, performing in a skit, or assisting with the technical aspects of the Saturday morning church service.
